SUPPORT NEEDED FOR SWEETS WAY EVICTION RESISTANCE
When? TOMORROW (Tuesday) FROM 6am!
Today, the occupiers of Sweetstopia, the village that has emerged on the Sweets Way estate since most of the families were evicted, received its own eviction notice, which could be executed as early as Tuesday morning!
The occupiers, over the last few months, have rebuilt properties that were intentionally damaged by Annington's private contractors, and started growing vegetables in the estate's green spaces.
Their presence there - in support of Mostafa and the final family left on the estate - has been the biggest factor in preventing the demolition of our homes.
We need to stand with them now to stop the bailiffs from ripping the 40+ residents from the homes they are defending. If we are going to save our estate, we need to stop the bailiffs tomorrow!
There are legal risks involved in an eviction resistance, but the bigger we are as a group, the less can be done to any of us. There are also different roles that people can play to support, which carry with them different risks, some arrestable, some not.
If you can, come tonight to 95 Sweets Way. There are spare rooms available on the estate, or you are welcome to bring tents.
COME STAND STRONG WITH US!
WE WILL DEFEND OUR HOMES!
