Saturday May 9th: There are international alternatives!
A day to look at what alternative systems are happening across the globe. The day starts at 12pm with a fishbowl session on What Can We Learn From Latin America? with guests from Venezuela and Cuba (12pm), Earth Forum session on democracy and basic income (3 hours in parallel to other stuff, start time tbc), Anne-Marie on Campaign Against Arms Trade’s “Arms To Renewables” campaign (5pm). From 9pm there will be comedy from Goose, Beard, Emma Sidi, Ahir Shah, Chris Coltrane, Matt Highton, Matt Winning and Michael J Dolan follwed by spoken word from Mizan The Poet.

Important note: there are two demonstrations (so far) that have been called for Saturday in the event of a Tory coup Stop the Tory Coup called by the Peoples’ Assembly outside Downing Street (1pm) and F*ck the Tories – No to all cuts – yes to real representation – take to the streets! called by London Black Revs and Brick Lane Debates outside Conservative Party HQ (2pm).
