Did you know Barnet *gave* the West Hendon estate to private developers for *nothing*???
10 May 2015 — That's right. Nothing. £0. For 680 council flats that will never offer local people homes they can afford again.
This is all a way of saying that what Barnet has allowed to happen to the Sweets Way estate is not an isolated incident; it is part of the privatised Council's social cleansing plans to get rid of public housing stock and move poor and working class people out of the borough.
Have you signed Our West Hendon's petition, which is also aimed at Richard Cornelius, Leader of Barnet Council?

If you haven't, please sign it ASAP, before our joint-petition delivery at the Barnet Council AGM at Hendon Town Hall, 6:30pm this Wednesday (May 13).
Thank you for your support! Hopefully see you Wednesday as we #ReclaimBarnet from those who would like to sell it off for private profit!
