The Birthplace of the Magna Carta becomes the battleground for our Civil and Land rights in the 21 st century #olsx @occupynn

there is a long story to be unfolded, that started with an army of 10,000 common people camped with their noble? Lords on the fields of Runnymede.
An army of people in uprising against the unfair Norman laws that hung or mutilated a common man for trying to feed his family from the forest.

There is a whole hidden history that we were told by a university professor who came to the very first days of the Runnymede eco village.
He came to the Runnymede Memorial where we gathered each saturday to discuss democracy and the erosion of our  civil liberties.Hopefully we will re contact the professor and get the full version of this hidden history.

Do your research on the Magna Carta and the less known but important Forest Charter.

History is written by the victors, but this we know that King john was forced to put his seal to the Great Charter - Magna Carta ( he did not sign it we were told)

This charter diluted the absolute divine?? right of monarchs to rule autocratically and dictatorially.

King John tried to back track on the agreement almost as soon as it was sealed. The Pope apparently was very angry that he had diluted the divine rights of popes and kings.

Fast forward to the future and an intrepid band of up to 40 left london on foot with back packs and tents. Many of whom had met at Occupy London or the various eco villages in london of previous years,(Kew,Hounslow or Democracy Village)

Aiming to get to Windsor great park to set up an eco village to live sustainably and in harmony with the land.To raise awareness of ,land rights, land distribution, access to land and the need to live sustainably.

After being injuncted from the Queens back garden, the crew deflected to Runnymede pleasure gardens, after two other sights were not available due to having become a building site, or still  being used by a farmer. The aim was to find dis-used land and grow food and create sustainable dwellings.

After being moved on by the police we moved to a temporary site at Kingswood Hall, we moved onto the Runnymede Campus site, having been told about it by two old traveller friends.
Knowing the Historic importance of the area,we thought it would be good to rise awareness of the issues we were campaigning for.........

There is much more to this story but its late and, need to prepare for  court and an early lift,so more soon in the adventures of the dispossessed.............come to court and Support.
Reclaim the Land Reclaim the streets and houses,Homes and land for all 2015.
