Rents in London are sky-high. But unlike Berlin or Paris, there are no controls over the rent that private landlords can charge in our capital city. [1] Becky, a 38 Degrees member, has started a campaign calling for a rent cap in London. And the pressure is growing - a poll out last week showed that over 60% of Londoners support rent controls in the capital and this morning Becky went on London Live to call for rent control in the capital. [2] If enough of us show our support for a cap then we could persuade the Mayor of London to take action. If you agree with Becky that you shouldn’t have to be loaded to live in London, sign her petition: SIGN THE PETITION  Here’s what Becky says: “London should not only be affordable to the rich or to those who are lucky enough to own homes.
