Rough sleepers have set up camp on Station Street over Christmas in a bid to force Nottingham City Council to open empty buildings for them over the winter.
The council has said it has enough room for Nottingham's homeless population through its charity-led winter shelter system.
But campers, who have set up a row of 24 tents on the road, currently being renovated into a pedestrian-only gateway to the city from the train station, say they've been turned away due to a lack of space.
The camp is about 100 yards away from the city council's Loxley House offices.
