Interference Archive: Building an Archive from Below
about_thearchive_2
An evening to discuss archiving on a political, localised level, with very special guest speakers visiting from USA.
The Interference Archive (IA) in New York is an ‘archive-from-below’, exploring the relationship between cultural production and social movements to popularise both archives and politics at a community level. Three representatives of IA will visit OSE for an opportunity to discuss the immediate, practical relevance of their work to community and activist groups working in London today.
This event is one of several in a short visit by the IA to London. The previous evening they will give a presentation at London College of Communication with parallel London Institutions. Some of the ideas raised there will be taken up again at this event.
