Event Information
DESCRIPTION
Makerversity are launching a new set of civic hacks to address the big societal issues of our time. Through fostering collaboration between makers and the public we aim to investigate the role that design can play in creating clever and radical solutions to the problems facing our modern world.
In this inaugural event we take a look at PROTEST and ask the question : How can we design for activism?
Working with grassroots organisations Citizens UK & Stop Funding Hate we will run a 2 day hack to create new tools for protest using our community of designers, makers & technologists as a toolkit to come up with solutions to civic issues. The outcomes from this hack will be displayed in an exhibition on the 18th & 19th of November.
Format:
Join us for the opening activation session where we will be interrogating the brief, defining the problems and beginning the ideation process.
