We helped the French Squatters Occupy a 5 storey empty office block, the view from the room i slept in......
Unfortunately the French Riot Police dressed in Armadillo armour turned up to evict under the state of emergency, the police basically had powers to do anything they liked.Apparently there were 2,200 raids on muslims areas and business.
Several squats were raided and a number of key organisers were put under house arrest under the state of emergency.Even the french public who came up during the eviction said that the government were using the attacks as an excuse to clamp down on legitimate climate protest....
After the building was flooded with Riot police
We were let out in groups of 5 to have our ID taken and paraded past face recognition cameras....
Oh well up the road after the eviction we found the Moulin Rouge .....
