Squatters can occupy a part of society's architecture too | Pete Phoenix | Comment is free | guardian.co.uk


My article for Guardian Comment is free article which was heavily edited and part re-written by the guardian team,some of my original article explained some of the points in the comments section.There is already a law the Displaced Residential Occupier Law 1977 that can remove squatters immediately from an occupied residential home.You can only squat an empty building,abandoned and derelict are best as you generally get more time.
The " squatters took my home while i was on holiday/shopping story is a major media fabrication,that could be dealt with by the police immediately with the above law."
